How do I set a vacation message on my e-mail account?
Issue
You can configure your U of M e-mail account to send an autoreply message to e-mail senders while you are on vacation.
Resolution
Use the Internet Account Options page to set an autoreply message
- Go to www.umn.edu/myaccount. Log in with your Internet ID and password, if prompted.
- Locate the Mange Your E-mail section, and click Set E-mail Forwarding and Autoreply.
- In the Set Autoreply section, use the radio buttons and the fields to
- Turn autoreply on and off,
- Set the start date and time of the autoreply,
- Set the stop date and time of the autoreply,
- Select whether to send an autoreply to every message, or only one per sender.
- In the Autoreply message text field, enter the text of your autoreply message.
- Click Submit.
- Google Apps for the University of Minnesota users will need to use the "Vacation Responder in Gmail. Instructions are on Google's Web site.
