How do I set a vacation message on my e-mail account?

Issue

You can configure your U of M e-mail account to send an autoreply message to e-mail senders while you are on vacation.

Resolution

Use the Internet Account Options page to set an autoreply message

  1. Go to www.umn.edu/myaccount. Log in with your Internet ID and password, if prompted.
  2. Locate the Mange Your E-mail section, and click Set E-mail Forwarding and Autoreply.

  5. Click Submit.
  6. Google Apps for the University of Minnesota users will need to use the "Vacation Responder in Gmail. Instructions are on Google's Web site
