Thunderbird: cannot see AutoFiled e-mail messages

Issue

The "AutoFiled" folder appears in Thunderbird, but the e-mail messages do not.

Resolution

Change Thunderbird's settings so it supports folders that contain sub-folders and messages

  1. From the Tools menu, select Account Settings....
  2. From the options listed under e-mail account's title, select Server Settings.
  3. In the Server Settings section, click the Advanced... button.
  4. Click the IMAP tab (if necessary).
  5. Remove the check box for Server supports folders that contain sub-folders and messages.
