How to clear a Web browser's cache
Issue
Sometimes it is necessary to clear a Web browser's cache in order to force Web pages to be downloaded fresh from their originating Web sites. A technician may ask you to clear your browser cache as a troubleshooting step.
Resolution
The steps to take depend on the Web browser
When you visit the same page for a second time, the browser speeds up display time by loading the page locally from the cache folder instead of downloading everything again. Sometimes the files stored in the cache folder may become corrupt and you may notice the browser is unable to display the page you requested. Sometimes the page you are viewing is out of date. Whatever the cause, it is a good practice to clear your browser's cache often.
